"Victoria has been cutting my hair for a few years now and has always done a really great job. And she did a fantastic job again on my wedding day. Quite apart from the fact that she made my hair look great, which she did, she was the best possible person to have there on the day. She was very cool and professional, working her magic with the very little time she had and making us all feel relaxed while she did it. She somehow managed to make my usually unruly hair stay in loose curls all day, even after drinking and dancing and all the mayhem that goes with weddings."
This summer I had the pleasure of styling Bronwyn’s hair for her romantic country wedding in Bath.
Bronwyn was the most relaxed bride I had ever come across. After cutting her hair in my salon she started to tell me all about her wedding, where she was designing and making every aspect all by her self and a few talented friends. I knew right then and there that I wanted to be a part of it. I asked her what she was doing with her hair, to which she replied…’oh I was just going to do it my self!’ Once I showed her that I could create something really simple that didn’t look too ‘done’ she quickly changed her mind and saw the benefit of having someone there on the day to do that part for her.
With her dress bought from a vintage store and her leafy hair piece put together by her friend, the relaxed wave was perfect. She has very fine straight hair, so I had to make sure it stayed all day. This is how I created the final look.
The wedding itself was unlike any I have been to before. Flowers hand picked from the garden, put into recycled jam jars, home made candles and bunting to name just a few things. The result was something so special and personalised to the couple and all the friends and family in the room.
